Waiting....

Just a small update regarding our departure - we were due to leave Auckland this morning however as we still don't have our Visas we are not. We will hopefully have our Visas issued early next week which will mean we can depart for India mid-late next week.

The delay in the Visas has meant that Ben got to graduate last Thursday, he is now a recipient of a Bachelor of Sport and Recreation in Outdoor Leadership :)

We started the day with a champaign breakfast in Devonport with some close friends and their family.

Then came the march around Takapuna which was filled with much ruckus and photo taking.

The actual ceremony was really enjoyable with Ben being the noisiest Graduate to receive his Degree and Emerald the noisiest spectator cheering him on!

We then had some celebratory brews at the local Belgium beer cafe and then headed out to a family dinner in New Market's Organic Pizza  Co....A fantastic day all in all :)

Ahipara

हेल्लो,

Last weekend Matthew and Charlotte joined us in visiting Dave and Heather in Ahipara. It was such a superb and relaxing weekend away. We got lots of sun, surf, zilch (dice game) and quality time together! Was also great fun following the final couple of games of Soccer... A great place to spend time by the ocean before our next step of moving to the mountains! Sadly our visas have been delayed and we now have ten more days than expected in New Zealand. There has been some trouble getting clearance letters from the Ministry of External Affairs in Delhi. Fingers crossed they arrive soon so we can get to India and start working. We are so excited and just want to GET THERE!

Farewell Aotearoa

On our fourth to last Saturday in Auckland we decided to invite some family and close friends to a farewell dinner. 

Where better than Little India to give a taste of the culinary deliciousness we hope to have in our new home, India. Thanks to everyone who made it, we had a great time and enjoyed the words of wisdom from family and friends!

The following Tuesday night we had some friends farewell us with their presence at a local Neighbourhood bar. We had a great time and enjoyed everyones company while keeping warm by the outdoor fire.

We will miss you all so much!
